Castle Hill Gardens

Castle Hill Gardens is set in a 18th century landscape park, with wonderful Spring flowering shrubs including rhododendrons, camellias, magnolias and azaleas.

Explore the formal gardens including the Millenium Garden with its colourful herbaceous borders.

Follow the river to Sybils’ Cave, the Satyr’s Temple and the Ugly Bridge and afterwards climb up to the Sham Castle. Here there are magnificent views of Exmoor and Dartmoor.

The house is lived in by Eleanor, Countess of Arran, granddaughter of 6th Earl Fortescue

The gardens are closed on a Saturday.
