Logan Botanic Garden
Situated on the south-western tip of Scotland, Logan Botanic Garden is part of the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh.
With its almost sub-tropical climate, discover plants from Australia, New Zealand, South and Central America and Southern Africa.
Walk amongst the Palm Trees and Tree Ferns and groves of Eucalyptus and Giant Gunnera.
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is a centre of excellence in the conservation of endangered plant species. Over 100 of the species grown at Logan are threatened including the Rhododendron kanehirae which is now extinct in the wild.
The soft tree fern (Dicksonia antarctica) from Tasmania has recently started to reproduce – evidence that Logan’s climate is getting warmer.
Explore the Walled Garden with its exotic plants, half-hardy perennials and water-lilies in the fish pond. The Logan Conservatory is the first all-green Glasshouse in the UK and houses a range of plants.
Logan Botanic Garden is also taking part in the Silent Space Scheme.
