The gardens at Mount Edgcumbe are in two parts. The Earls Garden surrounds the house and is only accessible by ticket. It includes the East Lawn, Cedar Lawn, Cedar Lawn Summer House, East Lawn Summer House, Shell Seat and Mount Edcumbe House.

Below the house is the Lower Garden. Free to enter, there are many different areas including the English Garden with its Garden House, the Orangery, Italian Garden, New Zealand Garden, American Garden and French Garden.

If you have time, take the path along the shore and discover the Amphitheatre and the recently restored Milton Temple. There are several other trails through the Park which incorporates part of the South West Coastal Footpath.
