The 11 acre formal gardens are divided into a series of rooms, each with their own season and colour.

Explore the Italian Garden, raised Terrace Walk and Heraldic Garden.

Beautiful Spring flowering bulbs including 12,500 tulips, daffodils and narcissi.

In the Summer enjoy the roses and magnificent herbaceous borders followed by vibrant autumn colours.

Don’t miss the 100 metre long Peony Border in early summer.

The gardens are open on some days in February and March and daily from April until October – check the website for details.

RHS members visit for free on Monday to Fridays but is not valid at weekends, school holidays or Bank Holidays – see RHS handbook for details.

Historic Houses members visit for free.
