RHS Harlow Carr

The stunning gardens at Harlow Carr are dominated by still and running water. Wander along the longest Stream garden in UK – it was looking fabulous on my visit in late May.

Wonderful prairie-style planting in the Main Borders.

Tucked behind the Edwardian Garden with its rectangular pond is the Diarmuid Gavin Garden. Designed for the 2004 BBC programmed Gardens Through Time, Gavin ‘took features from historical gardens and gave them a contemporary twist’. Opposite the moon gate are bold purple walls planted with golden hops and Callicarpa.

Discover the Hide in the arboretum and take time out to connect with Nature.

The Alpine House is spectacular with an extensive alpine collection.

Be inspired by the planting in the Kitchen Garden.

Lots of events throughout the year including workshops and plant fairs so check the website before your visit.
